ONEDTL thermolaminated surfaces arrive with a protective film that must remain in place during processing, installation, and storage (up to 6 months). Exposure to UV light for extended periods is not recommended. After removing the protective film, the surface is ready for everyday use and doesn’t require additional polishing.
Our decorative laminates need minimal maintenance. To clean thermolaminated surfaces, follow these guidelines:
Daily Cleaning:
- Dust Removal: Regularly wipe down surfaces with a soft, dry microfiber cloth to remove dust and prevent buildup.
- Light Spills and Stains: For minor spills or messes, use a damp microfiber cloth and lukewarm water. Avoid excessive moisture, as it can temporarily dull the surface.
- Cleaning Agents: ONEDTL THERMOLAMINATE® is resistant to most household cleaning products. However, avoid harsh chemicals (especially ones that contain solvents or fats), abrasive cleaners, and scouring pads, as they can damage the surface. Opt for mild soap solutions (a few drops of dish soap diluted in water) for tougher stains.
NOTE: Although ONEDTL THERMOLAMINATE® is highly resistant to chemicals. If you’re unsure about the effects of a cleaning agent on its surface, it is highly recommended to test its resistance and appropriateness on a small surface area or a spot that’s not easily visible.
Additional Tips:
- Heat Protection: While ONEDTL THERMOLAMINATE® is durable, always use hot pads or trivets when placing hot pots or pans directly on the surface to prevent heat marks.
- Sharp Objects: Exercise caution when handling sharp objects around the surface to minimize the risk of scratches.
- Prompt Attention to Spills: Clean up spills promptly and avoid standing water to prevent staining. The sooner you address a spill, the easier it is to remove.
